Self Collecting Florida Bark scorps

Hi, My mate is goin on holiday to florida some time this year and i jokingly asked him to pick me up some bark scorps but i was just wondering how you would get them home without gettin in gip with airport security is there any way to be granted permision to collect scorps and take them back to the UK?

No not without a DWA

but, y'know... always a slight chance of a few scorpions "accidentally" making thier way into your suitcase...

As an admin, I can't advocate for illegal means of collecting. You've got three major legal barriers you're talking about -- airport security, customs, and DWA, all of which I'm pretty sure would land you with a hefty fine or other consequences.

With airport security and national borders the way they are these days, even an "accidental" stowaway might end badly.

probably if you commit i minor crime here you get jailed but if you kill someone you get community service! its great eh! lol

lets not talk abt killing someone here, but anyways , i do frequently travel with these circumstances and so far so good, anything exo-skel, wont be detected as a living thing nor anything harmful, and any vertebrate small enough will be over looked...prob as jewelry but i def do not recommend this to any one at all. penalties varies from country to country. some carries jail terms if im not mistaken.

Soil, wood and orther stuff like that shows up, film canisters with toilet paper inside doesnt show up as a red flag.. so your unlikely to get stopped for that.. or so i have heard..
But you can allso just contact your local airport and talk with them about getting that kinda of stuff with a plane, and get a DWA..

Buy a hollow wooden statue type thing.
Put scorpions inside.
Carry it in the bag that you will have alont the way.

wouldnt it be better to go to china for acupuncture treatment than florida

How would i go about gettin in touch with anyone who could make it so my pal wont get gip at the airport if he gets nabbed with the scorps?

Or you could try mailing home the scorpions. Not carrying them along with you is always a bonus.

Just had a thought today are there any scorps in Florida that arent on the DWA if so would you be able to get permission to collect a couple n take them home to the UK?

The only scorpions found in Florida are Buthids, so no.

damnit! aw well ill just see if he can take a wee day trip to arizona to collect some desert scorps for me
