I just got everything I need to start a false bottom tank plus some better substrate; Eco earth coconut fiber substrate, some terrarium moss and these things called "clay balls" as a gravel replacement for the bottom. I also had a heating pad on the bottom of the tank, he didn't seem to mind it. I think he enjoyed because he stayed in his hide most of the time, then he would walk out to the other side of the tank and cool off. But as with most of you said before... I put it on the back side of the tank instead just in case. I must of read somewhere online to put the heat pad underneath the tank, or more likely, the guy at the pet shop told me to do so. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has any tips on making the false bottom?
