Ok I changed my grammastola rosea's tank which was really tall and got him a kk. He seems pissed off he made a really really thick web in one corner and when I put my hand in he does his threat pose. Anyone know whats wrong with him. He also broke his leg when I changed his habitat (an accident which I feel horrible about) could any of this have anything to do with the way he is acting.

Yeah, postultimate = molt after final molt.

A sperm web is a possibility. I didn't even think of that. The only time I've seen this species build one it was like a sheet of silk at a 45-degree angle going between the ground and the wall of the tank.

He built this one like flat on the substrate its only a couple of square inches big in one corner of the KK

we have found when rehousing tarantula's into new enclosures, especially when subadult - adult, they tend to sulk!!!
Sulking consists of sitting in one corner putting up a shed load of webbing around them. This can last from anywhere between 24 hours up to a week.

We did our haplopelma sp. 'vietnam' last night and she is in perfect sulking mode at the moment lmao! I'll try and get a picture to see if the webbing is similar.

slings and juvi's just tend to get on with making their new home but as they get older they can sometimes get in a mood lol Very Happy

sperm web is a possibility as well though

Yep thats what he looks like 95% of the time the webs are similar but his is flat on the ground

it was probably annoyed because of the shock of a new home and aa damaged leg. how bad is its leg? it will probably drop it if its really bad.
