| I'm on a business trip in Peru. I'm in the southern part of peru near chile in the mountains. I found this lil bugger in my sink. Any of you know what it is? Its very small about the size of a quarter pincher to stinger fully straightened out. Sorry for the lingo, i dont currently own any of these. just curious if i need to start checking my boots every morning from now on if these guys are dangerous. any info on them? i saw something close online but much larger, this guy is very tiny I dont know how to attach a photo to this deal so i tried the host image thing and it looks like it worked at these links

| It was stuck on something in the sink, I freed it with a spoon and put it in a bottle to get a closer look. One of its legs is stuck to its body now. i dont think i can find food for it being that it is so small, otherwise i might try to keep it. Does this these typically get bigger or does it stay this small? What do you feed them when they are this small, is it an infant? bad pictures, but i dont have anything to put him in other than a water bottle to get a good shot.

| I'm 90% positive it's a baby. Take a pin head cricket and remove the legs it may mow down on it I'm no expert. Something like a fruit flie may work. | |

| it's a bothriurid of some sorts. It probably is an infant.. even for a Bothy it is pretty small. | |

| hmmm it looks very similar to the urophonius granulatus, I know there are several urophonius species it could be one of them. The colouration is obviously different but is similar. but i really like them because they are mimick buthids I think it's the slightly bulbous claws that give it away defo a bothuridae though | |

| Well I dumped half a tub of butter out this morning and put the dude in a container with some substrate and a piece of tree bark this morning before work. And I caught 2 flies during lunch and put them in a bottle to feed the lil bugger. But the damned cleaning lady threw out the container while I was at work, so no more scorpion. I may go and try to find one of its relatives this weekend and a less margarine like container so the cleaning lady doesnt throw it out again. Thanks for the help though | |
