Anyone know anything about this species?

I want to buy a Rhopalurus junceu i cant find a whole lot of helpful info on the web so some input would be cool.

Pretty sure you keep them like a humid bark scorpion (they're from Cuba). Warm with vertical hides to molt from.

Can anyone verify / refute this?

what would a good vertical hide be? like a small hollowed out log standing up?

Can't find any specific care sheets on them, but I did manage to do some research and I found out [by BrianS] that they are kept similar to C. gracilis. You can find a care sheet for C. gracilis on VL:

I've seen them around for a while.
But I never bothered to research them... but know that I do... I can see there's an abscence of info on them.

A good vertical hide is just a piece of corkbark or coco fiber matting leaning against the side of the enclosure.

For vertical hides I use pieces of cork board. You can find them at your local hardware store such as Lowes. Mine came in a pack of five 1'x1' pieces. I think you can get it in rolls, too. The only issue I had with the cork board in humid tanks is that this weird fuzzy stuff (don't think it was mold) would hang from it. Whatever it was, it was hard to see unless you had a flashlight. Eventually it'll stop doing it when it's used to being in a humid environment.
