| i found him when the weather was like not even in the 70s he was basking by a log and he never rattled when we were putting him in the bag but after he ate his first meal he rattles like crazy and its really loud lol. he probably came out of hibernation too. | |

| How do you get into handling rattlers? There all over where I live but I just watch them from a distance. Always wanted one tho, but wouldnt know how to get it home without dying Would be cool to watch em snag their prey 0.o There always so ill tempered to.. | |

| this species is a western rattlesnake Crotalus oreganus oreganus
well when you actually see one get out your snake bag and your snake stick or snake tongs whatever you choose. we have snake tongs where it can open and close for more saftey haha. some of the rattlesnakes that i found dont do good on a snakestick haha. and i was with a friend so itll make it more easier to put him in the snake bag. and we zip tie the top of the bag when we got im in. All you really have to do is keep your distance from it thats all and dont do nothing crazy and get bit. what kind of rattlers do you have where your at? got any pictures? | |

| yes he doesnt really like when anybody walks by his tank but he will get used to seeing us alot just like the sidewinders they got used to it. so they eat right in front of us lol | |
