| so my adult emperor had babies last summer. i kept 5 of em. 4 of the 5 are doing great. They've molted 3 or 4 times, lost count. but they're big enough, about 2 inches long, to fend for themselves now so i put them back in with the mom. everything is good with them. but there is one youngin that is clearly struggling. here are a few pics. its 2 molts behind the other 4. as you can see its stinger is "broken". will that heal with a molt? and the marks on its skin. what that skin disease called they can get? is this one sick? | |

| it might heal with a moult. I dont know if the little one is sick. Looks like cocofibre to me but then again it could be mycosis but ive never seen it on a pandinus imperator. | |

| Not sure what's up with those marks. It looks like it's getting close to a molt -- I'd say keep it in its own container and see what happens. | |

| I've had a B. jacksoni that was two molts behind the other four from the same brood. He's still alive. A bit small but he's doing good I also have an emp that has the same telson problem and he's doing fine as well. As for the spots, it could have something to do with the old and new exoskeletons touching eachother somehow. I'm really not sure. That's just a wild guess. | |

| Does anyone have a good close-up pic of mycosis...I've never seen it. Good luck with your little scorp...hopefully he is just getting ready to molt. | |

also, what substrate are you using? | |
