Beginner Scorps?

I am located in Ontario, Canada, and I am not having an easy time finding any good books in my area. I was wondering if some keepers could recommend some good beginner scorps. I know common names are not useful but if you could provide both the scientific names and the most commonly used common name that would be great. Thanks.

I quite like the Pandinus cavimanus. I'm thinking of purchasing one in a few days. They're quite pretty.

I am a fan of Desert Hairy/Hadrurus Arizonensis as a first scorpion because they are easy easy, big active and a good looking scorpion. I had a greatexperience keeping this species when I knew very little about scorpions...basically what I could find online which amounted to a couple caresheets 3-4 years ago. With the people on here you will have answers to most any question in a day. With this forum you could have almost any species with a bit of research.

I just ordered Red Bark/Rusty Tail Bark/Tanzanian Bark Scorpion/Babycurus Jacksoni which are a highly recommended communal species that look amazing. I should have the babies arrive on 1-29 or 1-30. I'll let you know how they are very soon!

And the ever popular Emperor/Pandinus Imperator is a big, docile communal scorpion. Easy to find in most pet stores and loads of info online.

I just think that Desert Hairys/Hadrurus are the easiest to keep because you don't have to worry about humidity...keep them dry and watch them sting their food instead of just claw it.

I would just stay away from "hot" (high venom) species when you start out. But like I said...if you pay attention and do your research...most any species you can get will be possible. Just be prepared after doing some studying...you will want several types. Good Luck and I hope all that rambling helps.
