P. villosus is the largest buthid, as far as i know. females grow up to 18cm (7inch), my adult females are ~13-14cm (5.5inch), males ~10cm (4 inch), much bigger than my P. transvaalicus.
i don't know exactly, how venomous the are and i don't wanna figure that out by myself! Wink
i treat em as potential lethal, just as every other buthid. even if it's not the strongest venom, they carry an enormous amount of it in their giant telson!

great pix! have you seen them spray venom or use it's telson to dig yet? that would make for some good pix or video. I hope you're wearing safety goggles when opening their enclosure. if in the event you get scorplings and decide you'll ship to the states let me know - we don't see enough of them here stateside.
