i have noticed all my female crickets have killed the males... this seems wierd... i only have 4 adult males and a couple of subadult males left...
do they eat cat food or something??? i have given them a few recently killed (thanks to the desert hairy) locusts and they are fighting over them and eating them and its kinda disgsing.....
Suspect

Offer some protein in their diet (cat food, dog food, fish flakes, etc.) and offer LOTS of hiding spots (perfect example: stacked egg cartons).

i have them in a slightly more nice looking tank and none of them will be feeders... they are meant to be breeding like crazy but the way things are going and it being 4 males to 30 ish females i think i need another tub of them...
the cat food is sounding good but it stinks really quickly so i might just put fish food in.
they have some tortoise food (the pellet things that you put in water) that i have seen in the past they like... ill just fill it with dry food and give them some bug gel...
or maybee if i rehomed the hissers....
rant rant rant....
ect ect...

I would hope that your grass hasn't been treated with ANY sort of chemical in the past few years as you may very well regret that when you find your inverts dead
