| Is it possible for a mature male B. jacksoni to mate with a 5i female and carry it through the next molt and eventually into being gravid? If so, how would I go by doing this? I know nothing about breeding and any info would be appreciated | |

| no I don't think that is possible... seeing as the female probably doesn't have all the correct... stuff yet.

| Females that are one molt away from "maturity" have been known to become gravid and successfully birth, but it is not believed that they can carry pregnancy across a molt.
That's just as far as I know -- maybe it depends on how far along they are, or maybe molting causes them to abort. | |

| How would they give birth when they molt every month and the gestation time is a minimum of 3? | |

| i think its best to wait for the female to mature before you attempt to mate xxx | |

| I've seen immature females mate and I've seen them give birth and molt afterwards....but I'm not sure if they can mate and still become gravid after a molt. | |

| My mature male mated with my immature female and it got a little violent. Trust me, she wasn't ready to carry his babies yet and she let him know. | |
