Really? Only about a 2.5? I was way off. I thought it would be like a 4 or something... | |

| Eh....i'm kinda off too. Buthucus species tend to be around the 2.5-4 level. I'm not sure on the species itself but I've never heard anything on it so I'm just kinda guessing here. I think it might be higher but i'm almost certain it's not above a 3. Oh wait found some info on specifics. LD50 IV 5.55 LD50 SC 0.75 | |

| iv = Intravenous – injection directly into the blood stream, results in much quicker action of the venom on vital organs, gives an LD50 number that is unrepresentative of its natural administration although gives better idea of the true toxicity of the venom, these number are nearly always lower then the subcutaneous values | |

| sc = Subcutaneous – injection under the skin, the best model for if you are stung by a scorpion so the most useful LD50 value for the hobbyist | |

| yes and no. I would go with the Ld50 SC which is actually pretty low. But it can be pretty dangerous if injected.....which you won't do anyways. | |
