| they do make for some pretty awesome shots. Trying to find a tripod with a sliding head which is ideal for marco shots. Instead of inching the tripod back and forth which can be a pain in the royal backside! Excellent shots btw | |

| I wish I had a macro lens on my Rebel. then again, my Rebel is a 35mm so it just collects dust in my storage unit.
those are some awesome shots!

| I think having a descent camera in this hobby is a necessity. Especially for ID / sexing purposes.
But be warned... when you get a descent camera, you see accessories, you can go a bit bonkers buying stuff to make the shot better!!!!!

| ^Our friends bought a Rebel XT many years ago because it was (then) the cheapest digital camera that didn't have a lag time . . .
Now, I'm pretty sure their cameras and accessories cost more than their car.

| As the most arachnofreaks know, Hadrurus always make a psycho pose and drops venom for nothing I have seen 4-5 drops of venom today! And to night i had the opportunity to take a very good shot of it And some other rather good shots: C.sculpturatus mouth: P.imp mouth: scolopendra subsinipes mutilans head: And for the last today. | Looking at the venom, I'd say your Hadrurus was pretty ticked off. I've only gotten one "drop" shot of mine and it was perfectly clear (I also didn't realize until I looked at the pictures). | |

| was looking at a macro light ring for my camera.... another item to add to my wish list! only place i can seem to get them from is Australia!
What tripod equipment are you lot using??? was having a nosy on the net last night but reviews are always good. Was trying to find a good tripod head, one with a slider on for small forwards and backwards movements... any recommendations???
(and some of what i wrote there is DYING to go in the unnecessary censorship thread!)

| I don't use a tripod for my bug photography -- even with rails, I'd think the subject would move about too much for it to be worth it. But then again, I'm still using the kit lens. | |
