Unless someone has found somewhere cheap to get black light torches her in the UK. I have found a site that does some torches. The ones I have been looking at are a normal torch one end and a blacklight at the other. Which i thought would be very handy Smile

Please browse the website and let me know what you think.

Furthermore, I am going to email the guy to see if we can get a multiple buy discount. If you let me know what you would like i am prepared to buy them all and you sort me out the cash, saves on postage then. I will bring them all when we all meet up.

I can accept paypal (but add 3.4% to cover paypal fee's) or you could send me a cheque.

not a bad site, but what would shipping from the U.S be, we could always try an english site like here click

and this one aswell

click

i know these wouldnt be as powerful as a torch but as we found out E.flavi will mainly be found in the cracks and wont really want to move so these kind could be moved over the wall easily enough

yeah they'e ok aren't they. do ya know i was looking for ages the other night and couldn't find any uk sites. but personally i dont have anything to do with plastic torches.... one drop and they're usually knackered!

but thats what this thread is for lol... find as many sites as we can and decide from there.

well they're going to be a lot harder to spot with a normal torch. because a normal flash light will scare them into their burrows, blacklights are a softer light so they are less likely to run off.

as well as shining up like mad under uv light.

Black lights make scorpion hunting SO much easier. And it's so cool when you finally find one. I got mine off of ebay and it's pretty good. I think it's a 4D maglite clone. It works great and is metal. I'll look for it in a bit.

I couldn't find the exact one I bought, but here's a bunch

A few people like the smaller ones with a lot of LEDs, but I personally have never used one.
