| after being inspired by chris golan's photo thread on the british tarantula society website, I have finally picked up my pencils after 2 years of not having the time! or the patience! So as on there i have decided to do the thread on here too. here's a taste of whats to come, 6 hours worth over last 3 nights. should hopefully be finished middle of next week. | |

| pencils! Namely berol karisma colour.
I have to import them from the USA coz they dont make them in the UK anymore. But even importing them they're still cheaper than they were over here!

| naah these ones are wooden. they're like cross between a graphite and a crayon. you can get the sharp detail of graphite but the blending ability of crayon.
And once you leave it overnight you get a slight waxy residue on the drawing, which if you are drawing anything furry (or with hairs!) it really makes every pencil stroke stand out and is quite a good effect.
They're the only ones on the market that have that effect. all other pencils i have used are too hard and have no real soft blending ability

| yeah im just saving up for a printer. I find it a lot easier to draw from prints than from the screen. I have been emailed loads of pictures of H. Lividum.. the next one im going to do.
But staring at the monitor and then at my drawing hurts my eyes after a while.
dont worry once we get printer they should come thick and fast
