was out and curious

I thought i would go out looking today for more C. hentzi and plus was curious to see if i would find any and what amount.

well the temps were at 60 degrees this morning around 8 am. And I collected 21 of them in about a 2 hour time. I usally find more in the time frame Like 40 to 60 of them, but i was showing two of my friends how to look for C. hentzi scorps today. Would stayed out longer, but I wanted to work on my home some before i go in for surgery this Tuesday

Nice! I tore up some rotting logs looking for U. mordax a couple days ago and didnt' find anything.

isn't Cali loaded with scorpions

how come you cannot find them that easily

Dunno about the temps . . . I was wearing a sweatshirt and comfortable.

I don't know for sure if they're where I was looking, but there's supposed to be lots in one of the university's forests about a 5-mile bike ride away.

I find them just not by the dozen. We have the highest number of species not scorpions . I guess I need to find new spots.

Today we had a high of 4F and I went looking for scorps with no luck.

P. selvestri. a bunch a vajovids, i've seen H.arizonensis but no luck with these.

I told you that I always find them man! If you can get down here tomorrow or something I can take you to a place where we are guaranteed quite a few!

My tire was flat so I wound up checking the park across the street -- all I found was some brightly fluorescing lichens.

i should be the one jealous, you all out west has much more inverts , especially having Aphonopelma species compared to us east of the Mississippi river
