| I just won a Exo Terra Fogger off ebay. Do we all approve of these little humidifying devices? I was reading that if I get some millipeds and pill bug, I won't have to worry about maintenance. If I get the fogger and heat pad and let those crickets breed and eat the moss, I won't have to do anything at all, aside from keeping an eye for Scorpi to leave it's lair so I know it's alive... | |

| Breeding crickets in the tank with your scorpion isn't a good idea. The babies will emerge in huge numbers and mostly die causing a horrible stink, and they won't even be large enough for your scorpion to consider as prey for quite some time. My best advice for the prey is to keep them 100% separate from your scorpion until feeding time. Once every week or two, drop in a couple of crickets (that you're keeping well-fed on fruits and veggies). If they don't get eaten in a day or two, take them out. After all, how would you like it if a tasty cow kept wandering through your living room when you weren't hungry? On that note, don't be surprised if your scorp refuses food for long periods of time. Scorpions, especially larger ones such as emps, can go for months without feeding. Regarding the burrows, it would have to be a very deep burrow in very heavy substrate to injure the scorp from a cave-in. Most likely it will just dig its way up to the top and try again. | |

I'm worried about this the most... don't worry about that. if the burrow colapses the scorp should be able to dig itself out. | |
