Finally got my favorite scorpions!

Heres some pictures of two Centruroides vittatus I caught in Abilene Texas (west texas area) while visiting my grandparents. All togther I found 5 C. Vittatus 2 being babies 3 being juvies(?) and adults. (I only kept 2 of the 5 scorpions I found)
Better pictures will come soon once I get a tank at the pet store. Also, on the first picture, can anyone tell me what the orange thing is on my scorpions leg?

I'd have to see a closer picture to know what it is.

It's just a little mite thing. It will fall off eventually. Most of the C. vittatus I find have atleast one. It also appears that you have caught 2 males. Congrats on your find I wish I could have found some when I was out there lol. They seem to be lacking this year.

I thought i'd see alot more then I did. I went out every night and looked around the house and in the tree line of mesquite trees and found them. The one with the orange thing on it's back was sorta fat so I thought either pre-molt, ate alot or gravid. But I did have my doubts that I would actually find a male and female and get both.

Also when I feed them one will get a cricket, kill it and start to eat it but if the other gets near he threatens to sting him and some times will take a swipe at him but with the back of his tail so I guess not to kill him.
