Unfortunately it happens alot with the same scenerio! Do not give up and try again with maybe a different species/genera

Ive heard/read that Pandinus Cavimanus easily dies to stress. Rehoming can just cause the scorpion to freak out and die...dont know how true that is?
Could be old age though, if it was WC then that is very likely and if she/he got stressed then maybe it just brought the death along faster

that true connie i had an adult male for awile let him be, gave him to a buddy and he didnt like tha fact it burrowed so every dau he colapsed the burrow leadint to the death of the scorpion

plus with WC there is always the chance of internal parasites
