| Because letting a Slug suck your blood is incredibly freaky...other than that I'd say go for it Remember that old movie from the 70s where the guy turned into a cobra from a snake bite.... | |

| So true...the people I've told about this hobby rarely react positively. Leeches were a very common medical treatment, so it really isn't so freaky I guess. Post a video of it feeding:) | |

| I dont think it's gonna make it to the next feeding but if it does I'll make a small phone vid. Sometimes it takes a while to ....take the bait. | |

| Not to sound like an [buttocks], but why would you do that?
I know they used them in the past to lower blood pressure and rince the vascular system, as well as curing people from being "sanguine".
They even acknowledged the use of medicinal leeches as a treatment because of the bloodthinning compound they have (hirudin) and thus reativating arteries.
But letting them get a suck on you for fun, is morbid tbh.
Anyway, I like grannies so I suppose we all got a sick mind somewhere hidden. | |

| I would totally let a medical leech feed off of me,not so sure about a WC one though... Apparently the blood thinning benefit lasts a long time, gotta be better than injecting yourself 2x a day w/an antcoagulant, especially if youre not fond of needles.... | |

| im not finding much care info on these suckers. how do you keep em?in an aquarium with filtration? fish bowl and weekly partial water changes?does their water need to be aerated? what about the waters parameters,ph,alkalinity, hardness, temperature etc? can you keep em with some sissy type fish that wouldnt bother them,or would the leeches feed off of em? | |
