Heterometrus longimanus-- 8i male?

Hello everyone!
I saw an ad on the local online store, that apparently sells male Heterometrus longimanus 8 instars old.
Is it really possible for male AFSs to reach 8 instars? I thought only female scorpions are capable of doing so?

Pardon me, forest scorps are not in the best of my knowledge.

Hi what country are you from? There are a lot of 8i H.longimanus being sold into circulation in some parts of the world particularly in Asia and most are sold as unsexed specimens that usually turn out as female. You could probably ask that seller to get a pectine count and as well as a ventral shot for the others here to view

The seller sells 8i males and females according to their online ad.
I'd like to know if males reach 8i too. Coz as far as i know only females do.

If you're from the Ph and it says 8i, then chances are it is wild-caught. H.longimanus circulating in the Philippine hobby are 95% females most of the time. Males in your hobby are rare. Same goes for L.waigiensis there. I had a dozen shipped from Palawan to Bahrain and all turned out female so as far as 8i male goes, i'd say chances are that's also a female. Can you pm me the name of the seller? If it is a reputable seller then i might know him (or her) lol
