| I was about to get a pair of adult axolotls today from my local pet mall but they were out of stock, to my dismay. So i went home disappointed with a week supply of superworms & crickets, a pack of laterite, a bottle of malachite green, a big bag of wood shavings and a glass enclosure for my new tarantula at hand. Better luck next time! Lol Tiger Lily re-housed since she obviously doesn't like it moist and kept stilting all night I took a photo of my 3-year old betta, Mr.fishy, on a bowl while sterilizing his tank. Of course this day won't be complete without the antics of my golden skinks. Ursula and gang doing a boss monster attack simulation. Whoever said role-playing games are just for humans? Lol My alpha female Ursula lazying on a hot afternoon Axolotls just you wait!! | |

Thanks! She still hasn't eaten yet and has fully established herself now, she's kinda quickly and nervous but not defensive so it is not really scary. She also doesn't look big in personal compared to my other Ts although she already spreads 4 inches wide

| So what does she eat, or most tarantulas eat?
Also have you been bit before? Painful?

| Mine eats crickets and superworms, mostly. Occasionally they get to eat small frogs if there is a surplus after feeding my snakes.
Bitten by a T? Never. I am always extra careful. Their hairs are more irritating than a bite could deliver if you get urticating hairs

| Wouldn't be for a while yet. It took me months of convincing the GF to let me get a scorpion. Although I have smoothed her over pretty good and now shes talking about building a cabinet/shelving unit in the living room spec. for my tank | |

Haha now that's how it all starts! So did you get to handle a tarantula during the expo?

| No unfortunaetly not It was so busy there it took me 20mins/1/2hr to get to the booths just to get my scorps. My friend might have to go down to an exotic store sooner then later to pick up a few bugs. If so, I will get them to give me a chance. I don't so much have a fear anymore, I just need a confident owner/handler to to pick a more docile one out for me to hold. | |

| Your quite a collector then. What type of enclosures do you have for them?
I'm wishing the summer was here. Were still looking for double digits on my end. Hasn't reached double digits yet. High of 4c/39f today :-/

| That's just few as compared to other keepers haha. I just plan for them to be display pets and not breed them. They're on low glass enclosures to maximize stacking space. They're my easiest and cleanest pets so far other than scorpions.
Try 95F for our noon time temps lol. I can't blink my eyes for 5 times without sweating haha
