| Right as some may know i recently just got a baby emp and its doing great after finding out answers on here likes staying inits burrow, temp and humidity all good day/night cycle, feeding normal ect but only one problem i dont know its sex as i want to get another baby one but also would they get along now that the baby one i have now has made a burrow? If it seems i can, id get it from the same exotic shop and the tank they had, had mutiple baby emps in so would they reconize eachothers scent after bein 2 -3 weeks apart? | |

| Is the pic you have your emp? It may be hard to sex them depending on what instar they are. Emps are communal, they should get along fine. How about putting it in something clear and taking a pic of the underside and posting it here. We'll see if it can be sexed.

| Its is mate and il try but how do i get it out of its burrow closest it comes is sticking a quater of its body out at night when im guessin its hunting | |

| It all depends on how much you want to get it sexed. You can dig it up or flood it out or may be don't feed it for a couple of weeks and see if it comes out looking for food. That's all I have!

| Thanks mate to be gonest just saw a good pic of a male and female emp and saw the part that defines them and yes you are right it is a female and im happy it is, i compared the picture to my pics i took they look kinda like wings, bigger ones are male smaller female, And will this mean i can get either a male or female with the female one i have now? 2 females wouldnt fight or is that only when its 2 males? | |

| I don't think either will fight. I have multiple males and female groups with no problem. Female on the left.  Notice the pectin! | |

| Yeah i see it now mate very intresting and glad iv sorted it out might be pickin a new one up this week now i can sex them il make sure il get a female again as i dont want scorpionlings when there alot older will the new emp join in the burrow of the one i have now or will it make a seperate one you know from ur experience just hope it doesnt get defencive over the burrow and how do scorpions know that each other are the same and not food or a threat? | |
