Might be a silly question, but I'm reorganizing my invert room and put my original boys in their 30 gallon next to my new kid in his/her new 10 gallon for the first time today. I walked in to feed the betta that's in there just now, and one of my boys was standing on his tail in the corner where the 10 gallon is banging on the glass with his claws and pectines. I've never seen that before!
I rarely (never) ever see my boys. I was able to flip the light on and watch him for a few minutes and he didn't even notice me! I got a good look and for sure was able to sex him this time. (yay! One down.) And the new kid was on the far end of his/her enclosure out in the open as well.
The tanks can be reshuffled if it's going to stress them to be that close. I'd like to keep them both where they are since those tanks need the least amount of fussing so they would do best up high where I need to drag the ladder out to reach them. But I can definitely move them around if it's going to cause long-term problems! Femscorp and Family are getting a third bigger tank to themselves, but it's got it's own stand so they won't be anywhere nearby.
