| So on Tuesday I recieved some scorpions from a friend (he knows who he is ) I planned to open a thread up on Wednesday but have been a bit busy this week (friend being over, renovating parents bathroom, going scorping et cetera) but finally found a chance to make a thread First up, are the Hottentotta saulcyi 2i There's two of them but they both look the same so I won't bother posting the other picture Then the 5i (I think, can't remember) Tityus serrulatus Taken up residence underneath some wood, not even using wood I got for it Then we got my favourite, the Tityus stigmurus Picture I took on the day I got her Then she came out for a snack on Wednesday and then went back inside her house And this is the cage. I made the Bark Thing months ago already in anticipation of this arrival and was scared I'd never get a chance to use it What do you guys think? Do you think I could keep the H. saulcyi communal at this size or should I wait till they get a bit bigger? | |

| Very nice I like the wood in the last two pics. Rather keep the H.saulcyi seperate until they get to 6i+. | |

| Unfortunately the damn thing fell apart when I washed it, so now it's just on wooden strips.
I got some Spaghum moss today and added some of that, it looks very nice.
I also got a bag of dried mushrooms, those kinds that grow on the sides of trees. The big, circular ones. I have no idea what I can use them for but they're nice and spongy

| No no no, merely for Aesthetic purposes. But not in the above cages. I was maybe thinking of cultivating it on wood and putting it in my communal tank IF my Tityus drop in the next few months. If it's not toxic at least | |

| Check if it is poisonous in any way and if it's not then culture it on the wood with some green moss. Looks epic when done correctly. | |

| After some searching, it looks closest to Dryads Saddle which is apparently edible. And after further research it seems that most Mushrooms and Fungi are safe to arachnids. This was being sold as House Decorations if I understand correctly (My aunt bought it, not me). But more likely it was meant for gardens
On another note, is Varnished wood safe to use for Scorpions? I varnished some wood recently and just want to know if it'd be safe to use
