| My new wild caught Scolopendra Polymorpha was eating a cricket. While observing the pede, I noticed that half of one of the centipede's antenna was chopped in half. will this cause feeding problems?? | |

| No, don't worry about it...it should regenerate completely within a couple molts. | |

| Well that's good. The pede is 4 inches. Will it still molt? | |

| Yes it will still molt depending on how long it lives. Centipedes, unlike scorpions, have no terminal or final molt, they continue to molt throughout their entire lives. | |

That depends, how many times are you willing to get bit? Unfortunately, it's very difficult to sex centipedes while they are alive. Really the easiest way to do it is to buy a gravid one, in which case it's rumored that not too many of those are males. There's no easy way to do it unless you're willing to semi-drown, freeze, of gas your pede to "unconsciousness" or put two random pedes together and see what happens.

(i don't know why i chose that as my first pede) Unbelievably vicious critters! They look great though, especially the S.Hardwickei. The head and antenna armor make them look like "Predator".
