First Loss - R.I.P. Soshi Empty
PostSubject: First Loss - R.I.P. Soshi   First Loss - R.I.P. Soshi Empty6/6/2013, 2:51 am

Discovered a corpse in my Scorp tank today. It was outside of the communal burrow, buried under fresh excavate.

No sign of death, except her telson was removed and one of her legs is missing. No evidence of a sting, or what kind of trauma would have killed her.

I can only suspect Mycosis, as inspecting her revealed that her spiracles were lined with a white substance. https://i.imgur.com/GDDUXpD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5IFXOP7.jpg

I'll have to dig out the other two tomorrow and see if they're covered.

Didn't look like mycosis to me, saw no scars of the actual fungus.

Also it is very hard for non desert species to get mycosis, they live in surroundings that are naturally high in air humidity.

My theory;
It looks like perhaps there might have been a fight, or territorial dispute.
