| It's recommended that you don't feed vertebrates to invertebrates. It'll make a real mess and you run the risk of the lizard harming your scorpion. Stick with crickets, roaches and the occasional meal worm. | |

| I'm not sure if it is completely true, but I have heard that feeding vertebrates can cause an emp to become more aggressive also.
Anyone know if this is true?

Anyone know if this is true? Feeding vertebrates to an emperor scorpion will not change the overall temperament of the scorpion. However, putting in a mouse or lizard, which are far larger and more threatening (and dangerous to the scorpion) than a roach or cricket will obviously cause the scorpion to become more defensive whilst it is in its enclosure. Mice in particular are very capable of inflicting serious wounds to your scorpion with their sharp incisors.
