Moved to scorpion ID . . . seemed more appropriate.

Since they said "pseudo" hadogenes, I'm guessing it's a different genus with similar characteristics.

I was thinking it was another genus. Or it could be a different type of Hadogenes other than paucidens or tylogyte.

Judging by the size of the mom with babies on her beside a coin. I doubt it can ever be a Troglodytes.

Different genus with similar characteristics, like Mike said.. do they have Liocheles sp. from where these were found??

I think they may be another genus with similar characteristics, cause someone on Bug Nation (doubt any of you ever heard of it its linked to Tarantula Barn) and they look pretty much the same as Hadogenes but theyre just really wee

The ones you see in the picture in the link is Iomachus sp. there is no such thing as "psudo" Hadogenes

please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo

They proably named them Pseudo because they chouldnt figgur out what sp it is.. "They look like Hadogenes, so false Hadogenes but lets make it sound latin/greek so lets use the word Pseudo Hadogenes "

they are iomachus politus. he got them from tanzania.

he keeps saying that they are a newly discovered scorpion... which i believed and felt really chuffed when i posted them on the forum last year... then felt a total plonker afterwards when I found out they were not rare at all.

me n connie compared pictures and if it is different in any way... we cant see what makes it a rare scorpion. It makes me cringe everytime i go onto his site and see the pseudo hadogenes!

I still have my female left, hopefully pregnant. but I wouldn't mind getting some more of them

I still have my female. Going to get a mate for her when I can Smile

But yes, still an Iomachus Politus. I have no idea why these places are giving it a new made up name, all they need to do is go to a scorpion website and ask for an ID

it was a damn shame chuffing mites got my male!

I have noticed lately that wholesalers are giving scorpions new names or saying stuff is rare / non-DWA just to get them shifted... dodgy people!
