| They breed themselves. Just have some flat pieces of rock or bark in there for the spermatophores. Best results if they are all adults. _________________ Crickets need a suicide hotline...either that or swimming lessons.

| Didn't you ask this somewhere else? I've never heard of the post-mating cannibalism being common (or even occurring) in scorpions . . . even in spiders, that's rare. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| Well, if you saw the male lying dead, he obviously wasn't devoured . . . Scorps just die sometimes. Jumping to conclusions usually restricts you later on in the hobby (for example, I had an adult WC Scolopendra subspinipes die and I blamed nematodes because I'd seen one or two in his tank MONTHS beforehand, but it was probably just old age). _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

maybe my male spinifer was so stress coz of hitting by the female, sometimes i caught the male climbing and the female right beneath him trying to hurt him.. the problem was i just ignored it and i did'nt separate them from different tanks.. my female spinifer now is 2 years and 7 months old same as the male..

| Females are more likely to attack tankmates when they're close to popping or with young (not just after mating) -- so yeah, it may be wise to take the others out of the tank until the young leave mom's back. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |
