There's a juvie jumping spider that lives on the desk. I've been watching it for months now over here at my sis'. Somehow it eludes my sis' anti-loose spider bloodlust. I wish I had a camera, it just comes up and hangs out while I'm typing away - if I had an enclosure and there was more information on keeping jumping spiders then I'd take it in.

I do recall there being talk on here before about keeping them early last year. What does everyone think about them now (considering a lot of you are new since I left)?

Personally, I think Salticids are awesome. They're also pretty easy to keep in my experience; just give 'em something to climb around on and some prey. Usually they'll build a web in a crevice if available shelter provides one.

We tried keeping one at work but it refused to eat -- I released it after noticing it was a mature male. The 'palp bulbs weren't as obvious as in other families.
