It's a Chilean species so I would presume keep as you would other Chilean species: fairly cool, dry substrate, offer water/lightly mist sporadically, and hope you're doing things right.

However, my first step would be to find out the area in Chile this species is found and research the habitat, climate etc. Many of these small South American species can be tricky to keep alive in captivity for any length of time as often very little is known about their requirements.

Nothing much i know a few collectors a few years back that had some. These are from Chile. They like dry and warm (cooler temps than other species)not much else has really been documented.

yeah i got it from The Spider Shop, just arrived today, the lights i use is a dimmable 25w low energy bulb for during the day, and a 60 LED red bulb for night time, i also have a little notebook fan drawing heat & humidity out of the tank from the top, i have the region were they are from on the weather app on my phone so i can check its all good, im about 2-3 degrees out on the temp, but thats nothing when they live in one of the dryest deserts in the world, Atacama Desert, Chile.

Quick update:

Since putting her in the tank she soon went into hiding, that was until i started dimming the lights to mimic sunset, then the red LED light was turned on, within 10mins she was active, chased down 2 of the biggest of size 4 brown crickets, tagged them and dragged them back into her hole & ate 1 of them, 10 mins later she came back out and tagged a smaller cricket & ate it on the spot, (fast food lol), she has now gone back to her hole and brought the second biggest cricket out and is now sat there at the entrance of here hole munching away on it lmao, excellent little active scorp, couldnt believe how quick after dark she was out to hunt, all on the first night to.

Smile

Only its body is about 1cm or so, may be a little bigger, but its quite easy to see once its hunting, it stayed out all night last night and as soon as the lights started to get bright she hid back in her hole lol, its a lot more interesting so far than the Asian Forest Scorpions i had Wink

That is one nice looking mansion for the little guy! You will find desert scorps are a bit more active than forest scorpions and their night time hunting is a great time wasting activity.
