| I have 6 (or at least 5 for sure) H. Spinifers currently in the largest kritter keeper. Measuring 14.5"wide x 8.5"deep.
They have done some extensive tunneling, and in hindsight, I should have put a lot more substrate in for them to burrow.
I wanted some opinions on moving them to what will be their final tank, a 20 gal long.
I don't think it's too soon, but everyone else here has a lot of thoughts I may not have.
Any input is appreciated. I'll post some pics asap.
Thanks,
Aaron.

| What instar? I've kept 3 adults in a ten gallon I don't think 20 gal will do them bad but if they're still small might make feeding hard. | |

I don't know for sure, but from what I can tell there should be 3 maybe 4 at 4 instar, and 2-3 at 3rd instar.

| In that case I recommend a 10 gal set up until they mature. 20 gal will work but you have to make sure they all get fed which is easier said than done due to these guys burrowing like crazy. | |

| Fair enough.
Well now I'll have to get a 10 gal tank and more substrate, at least neither are terribly pricey.
Thanks for the input Abyss.

| Well,
It was a slow and intense process, but got all 6 moved over (I kinda figured I was down to 5 at best) to the new setup: 10 gal tank with plenty of substrate for more tunneling.
I'll post some pics in the next few days, pending on work schedule.
