PostSubject: A. bicolor?   A. bicolor? Empty3/3/2013, 4:56 am

Hello,
I just purchased two scorpions which I was told were A. cassicauda and A. bicolor
In a diffrent thread I was informed I don't have a cassicauda it's a Orthochirus sp.
Now I'm wondering about the A. bicolor.
I'd appreciate any help. I want to make sure I'm caring for them correctly.
These pics were taken in the container he was given to me in. His body would fit on a quarter.
The third pic is the enclosure I moved him into when I got home.
Thanks,

I'm not an "expert" on differentiating species of scorpions. But it looks like an Androctonus bicolor to me.

Just do this, pull up a pic on Google of an A. bicolor and a pic of an Orthochirus afghanus. The bumps on the tail should be the dead giveaway.

(Androctonus will have little bumps on the tail whereas Orthochirus will have dimples like on a golf ball)
