G.Pulchripes .. in premolt?

I've been giving my G.Pulchripes crickets and turkistan roaches as foods mixed for every 3 days.
I've noticed that it has been fasting for about 2 weeks now and it has not been coming out of its hide..
Well as I'm still unexperienced in caring T's
I made some research and came to a conclusion that its in premolt.
Out of curiosity I tried to remove half of the peat blocking the entrance of its hide and tried to make it come out and took a pic of it.
here it is:

Well what do you think guys is it in premolt stage?
Should I stop leaving crickets on its deli cup?
Well bout water I always fill it's bottle cap everyday and it seems like it's not been drinking since it started its fasting.

Sry I'm still a noob in T's I've been caring for scorps for about a year and i just recently decided to try on caring T's

Your pic is not showing up right now. So I cannot comment on that right now. As far as general care just offer one or two prey items per week. Just because it is not eatting does not mean it is going to molt.

As far as the water is concerned you will hardly ever see Tarantulas drinking. The point of putting a water dish is just to have it available and add some humidity.

If you get the picture working I can comment a little more on if it looks like it is going to molt or not.

Just due to the size of the abdomen I would say stop feeding for a little while. Its not far from a molt by the darkening abdomen.

okay i won't feed it for a 2 weeks then would that be enough?

yeah just take a little break for now, its plenty fat enough

guess T's molt much faster than scorps my Grammostola Pulchripes molted just this morning

Great news Depends on the species and size for molting time.

Nice one, the early molts are crucial.

This species does grow pretty fast though. My sling matured into adult female relatively quickly, it'll be huge before you know it!

Give it a week to harden up properly before offering any food.

got it i'll feed it with my gut-loaded dubia next week to make sure its exoskeleton's tough enough
