Wet Molt Empty
PostSubject: Wet Molt   Wet Molt Empty11/26/2012, 4:34 am

Hey guys,

has anyone experienced a T that has gone through a wet molt? Looks like my B. albopilosum had one Sad

At first, half his abdomen was stuck, I dropped a bit of water on it to soften it, and it got loose, however he's looking all wet, not that hairy and definitely not very strong looking at the moment.

It seemed that he could stand up last night, although he was mostly staying against the wall with the legs in various positions. This morning I took a look and he's back on his back, still moving the legs a bit though.

I guess it's time to accept he will probably not make it.

I've been researching about this "wet molt" phenomenon last week because my friend's P.Regalis looked like it went through a wet molt.

Her abdomen was abit soaked with a tan looking liquid.,while her legs were all looking like it went through a misting shower, we have been keeping an eye on it since then.

Though we both guess its still doing fine after 3days of being week the 4th day my friend checked her out she looks all well and mean as a KBT also her colors we're vibrant like a normal molt.

My friend said that he noticed her drinking alot in her water dish like it loosen out so much water during its molt.

Hmm.. from my research most likely the cause would be its diet.
I can't tell if its really the cause or not I've never had a wet molt before and I don't wish on having any on the future. Sad
