Sulking or Passed Away?

Hey all,

Want to see if I can get your opinions on something?

I've had an emp for about a year, recently I upgraded his home to a nice Jungle environment and got him a friend (supposedly a lady-friend). Now I haven't seen him for about a month and I'm getting a little concerned as whilst he did sometimes disappear for periods of time it was never this long.

The last time I saw him was near when changed the tank over, as far as I know they both took separate hides and I still see the second one quite often.

My concerns are;

1. There was some kind of fight where he was killed in his hide - there was a bit of pushing and shoving when they were introduced but no major violence.

2. There has been some kind of cave in which killed him - I can't see any real evidence of this and the area above the hide was pretty stable.

What do you guys think, should I just leave it or should I try to dig down to him to check he's ok?

Hey. If you're really worried then I'd just gently dig them up and check all is well but a month is not that long of a time for a scorpion to go without feeding or even appearing. Some of mine have shut off their burrows and hid away for months on end only to eventually appear again.

There's really no worry of a cave in killing them, or them getting stuck in a caved in burrow. If they can dig down they can definitely dig back out.
