most scorps that end up in the hobby are wc - that is until somebody gets some breeding going on and then passes them on and then somebody else breeds them and then they become regular in the hobby. E. flavicaudis is not well documented so it's all in your hands to go find them, breed them, document them in captivity as well as where you found them and the fauna of the area and then send them to us over here stateside so that we can breed them and make them available to the world

ive had my eye on the scorpions too but ive read they are mainly in cornwall, small and quick and into the small gaps quickly.
It seems their care is really unknown and for hide to be crumbling brick walls!

do we need to serve you a formal notice that it's now your job - you are securing it as a task with the reasons you keep adding to the list to go to certain areas.

there mainly in the south east of england but i guess it may stretch to cornwall, i think a blacklight n a net wud work well, not to scoop up but just to sort of immobilize them for a few seconds

Here is some information on the scorpion. http://www.ub.ntnu.no/scorpion-files/e_flavicaudis.htm

Maybe you can try to contact some of the people listed on the bottom of the page?

Something in my gut just tells me they wont do well in captivity.
The temps in england change all the time! this morning freezing cold and now its glorious sunshine!
English weather hurts the brain

Oregon has similar weird weather, and our similar native scorpions do just fine in captivity. (Euscorpius looks almost identical to Uroctonus, and they both live in temperate damp places.)

no problem, but id get more than that mebe more like 8 maybe 10 i mean i bet there would be some trial and error plus itd be good to have more for breeding purposes, i have been contacting pet shops all day and none of them know anybody in england that breed and sell them so it really is uncharted territory *getting excited* it would be awesome to bring them in and establish them as a common species kept as pets. lol my emp ate 3 locusts yesterday i put one in before i went out then my fiancee put 2 in i fogot to tell her id done it, he ate them all tho, came home to find legs in his mouth lol
