| Hey guys, not so long ago one of my H. Laoticus gave birth. i got a glimps of her the other day, and i could see that there was something wrong with her! One of her claws(sorry), is not useable. in the "scissor" joint, there is some white stuff, its hard and she cant close it anymore. Also, she keeps the claw close to her body. I think she might have been in a fight before getting here own tank after birth, because she also misses a small piece of here first leg, and a small piece of her other claw :S I dont know what to do, i took the slings away, they are very early 2. instar.. What should i do with her? I really need to know if there is anything to do!!! Its the right claw on the pic. | |

| Not much you can do. Sorry if this doesn't help. Just keep her alone in her own enclosure and keep conditions perfectly. | |

| There really isn't anything you can do. I have a P. Imperator who only has use of one Chelae. It must have been an injury from the pet store prior to living with me because I've had him in his own enclosure since day one.
His other chelae is ok though and he still uses it to grab his prey.
I also had a P. Imperator that I had gotten in the mail back in the summer. But he was also missing part of his stinger and he died the next day and I had to be refunded (only the scorp not the shipping grrr).
They're hardy but not invincible. But with luck, yours will be like the first one I described and still be able to eat and drink. | |

| They can go a very long time without eating. Just keep her in her own container with perfect conditions and try to feed her one or two times a week. I wouldn't leave crickets in with her for too long if she does not eat. I'm afraid the crickets might try to eat at her wounds. Hope she starts to do better. | |
