Subject: Light question for my P. Imperator 8/14/2012, 6:35 am
I recently got my first Emperor scorpion and I keep him in my room. However, I have to keep the lights on in my room until 10-11 at night every night because I need to do schoolwork. Will this be a problem for my scorpion? He seems to spend the entire day and night in his hide as well. Is that normal?

That shouldn't be a problem. Emps tend to hide a lot. How warm are you keeping him?

My room temperature is about 85F constantly during the day and 78-80F during the night. I'm planning to get an IR lamp soon though.

It wont be a problem, my lights sometimes stay on until 2am in my room and my scorps are very active from 1am onwards. They seem to know when its night or day.
