Just thought this would be interresting to share, how much my L.q's differ by where they come from.

The one on the left is said to be from the Morocco which is female and the one on the left is from the Afghanistan and is a male. I am now deciding if I should mate the two with each other, what are your thoughts about matig the two?

That doesn't sound right. As far as I know (based on several papers I've read), their distribution doesn't extend until Morocco.

Oops, you are correct Dolby. Checked my e-mail that the breeder sent and the parents seem to be from one of the Africa countries(who knows which one).

the one on the right looks much more like a Hottentotta saulcyi than a Leiurus quinquestriatus. The separation and definition in the 3 keels present on the tergites in the Hottentotta versus the Leiurus, not to mention the body proportionality and the fact that there is no stand out signs of sexual dimorphism in the Leiurus genus should have been indicators that the "Leiurus" to the right was not a member of said genus. Beautiful specimens though.

Geez, today is not my day. The breeder said he would be sending me L.q's and when they arrived I couldnt understand why they look so different.
Feel like an idiot right about now.

Hey, it's all good. It all goes to show that some "breeders" don't know their ___ from a hole in the ground and so on. I will say, for what it's worth, that your saulcyi appears to be male based on the bulbous nature of the manus, so the breeder may have relayed one thing correctly. I'd really love to have access to some of the species I've seen you post over the last couple months. Thanks again for sharing the pics!

I also had a look at that and it seems like I have 3.2 at the moment, but who knows?
