this is my first time caring for a scorpion that wasn't a sub adult or larger. he's maybe 3/4" long from head to tail and light brown. last night, i gave it a meal worm. he fought with the worm for a few minutes then he just let it go, extended his tail and went completely limp. i tried to get his attention with the meal worm, but he just curled his legs under himself and twitched slightly. for hours, i thought he was dead, but then he would twitch his tail or a claw a little. so i put him in the big tank where the heat and humidity have the best balance. this morning, i found him 3-4" from where i had placed him. his claws were back against his sides, and his tail was curled. he's not moving at all, but if i try to pick him up, he will hook his feet into the bedding and not let go. when i release, he relaxes and extends his legs for a minute before tucking them under himself again. is this normal for baby scorpions? do they have trouble molting?

Pics would help.
DO NOT MOVE THE SCORPION! It could be getting ready to molt, and even if it's not, you're still stressing it out by moving it. Just leave it alone and keep the temp and humidity high. Don't try to feed it.

+1 Smile

Additionally, do not feed it right after a moult as well.
The outer exo-skeleton usually take 7-10 days to be full hardened.
