PostSubject: The "Unnecessary Censorship" Thread   5/28/2008, 5:22 pm

So who here knows about Jimmy Kimmel's "Unnecessary Censorship"?

If not, this should sum it up pretty well:

The gist of it is you censor something that doesn't need censoring, but doing so makes it sound like it needed censoring.

Example:
"My scorpion pinched my girlfriend's finger" to
"My **** pinched my girlfriend's finger," or
"my scorpion ***ed my girlfriend's finger."

Like the OOC-quote thread, no one is off-limits for censoring their quotes. This also is different from the "no asterisks to hide swearing" rule because there's no actual swearing.

So here's the first one!

unnecessary censorship is the only thing that consistently saves his show.

i find when he's trying to be funny by himself, he fails terribly. his show is sooo boring to me.

i beg to differ. carolla is, hands down, one of the funniest guys of all time.

loveline was hilarious due to him. a good portion of their older aged demographic, like myself, stopped listening once he left.

stern had good bits with him

Adam Carolla show on 97.1 is such a good thing to listen to in the early morning.

Man show of course

Too Late had funny episodes, but it was pretty sucky.

I never saw that building show that he had, but I'm assuming it sucked.
