Is My Scorpion Dead?!

Last Night My Scorpling was Lively or so i think anyway the day after that my scorpling is Dead? i guess.... Its laying on its back with the feet a bit curled and the tail a bit curled but also a bit straight its pinchers are separate one going inwards and one going out so i'm guessing its dead and i have no idea why? or is it just finding a position to molt because i think its premolt by now. I have no idea really and its freaking me out its substrate is not dry its damped specie is H.Longimanus 3.instar

Hmmm....it certainly doesn't sound to good..I know of no scorpions that moult on their back and the way you describe it's legs curled up sure sounds to me as if it's probably dead.

Leave it alone and don't prod or disturb it in any way...If it's still in the same position tomorrow then i guess your little fella has hung his boots up.....If it is dead then there could be many reasons for this.....genetics, stress, chemicals or combinations of those.

Well its official its dead i don't know the reason but its probably stress from the roach it didn't eat..

ants are swarming like crazy when there are food nearby and its alarming i put my scorpion enclosure in another container w/ water so ants can't get in but when the water is gone ants are there again T_T

Those 2 lines give me the idea that it may have died because it was actually about to moult and the roach disturbed it in some way .. For future reference don't leave live prey items in with a scorpion if you suspect it's in pre-moult.

As for your ant problem i'm afraid i don't have any answers apart from finding the source and eliminating it...Use boiling water or fire...not chemicals!......Alternatively, if possible secure your room better so that ants can't get in
