question about tank tops and bulbs

i recently got 10 gallon tank to hold two emporer scorpions the tank has a fish tank style hood/light that can hold two bulbs at 25 watts max each. first i would like to know if this hood is fine to use and if it is what kind of light bulbs should i get . i was thinking to get some form of the red reptile bulbs just for the heat not the light just not sure which one is better or if i need a specific one.

i dont have the scorpions yet i want to get everything set up first and let it stay empty for a week to make sure i have the heat and humidity right first then i can make adjustments from there if its not optimal '

I use a 10 gallon with a similar hood. It takes two 25watt slim bulbs, works great for heat ( i use infared) I have some with one bulb in it too still stays pretty warm. The tank heats up pretty well too and holds humidity. There was a 3 inch hole or so in the back where a filter would go but I hot glued a piece of window screen over it works fine. For a smaller specimen (striped devils) I used the screen to cover the hole and hot glued a bead on the back covering any crack. If you're not doing a background though dont worry too much about the top.

thanks for the info, if you dont mind me asking what brand of 25watt slim bulbs do you use? is one better than the others or are they all pretty much he same.
