Considering dividing my three foot aquarium into six seperated units. So each unit would be 12 inch's tall, 12 inch's deep and 6 inch's wide.
can anyone suggest an easily available scorp that'd do well in this size enclosure? not really picky on forest or arid or anything their all pretty interesting..
Also can anyone share pics of their AF H.troglodytes with something to scale with them?
Thanks!

There's loads of stuff that would be happy in a 12x6 enclosure. Look at any species that are around 3'' max that live in similar climatic conditions. Your in Ireland aren't you hedwigdan? If so, your not limited to non-Buthidae scorpions so your options are very good, especially if you have a look at some of the EU traders stock lists. I'm not saying go out and buy 'hot' species but there are plenty of relatively harmless Buthidae out there.

Or you go keep the tank as it is and have a big community of a species of bark scorpion. That would be really cool.

Thanks for the tip's mate, would that 3" be body length or head to telson?
And yep in Ireland, not planning on getting anything that could do much serious damage was thinking of an adult C.gracilis in one or two of them? and yeah I've toyed with the idea of a communal but have decided against it prefer to be more control with the environment in the viv's ya know? Would you say I could get away with one large lid over each compartment or is not worth the risk would you say?

C. gracilis are a nice species :-)

I split an aquarium with a piece of acrylic so that it could hold two scorpions, an O. glabrifrons and a N. hierichonticus. I did a really crap job of siliconing in the acrylic and the Nebo ended up climbing over the partition, having probably used all the lumps and bumps I made in the silicone as climbing holds. Luckily the two didn't harm each other but the chuffin Nebo escape not long after and is probably still wandering around the house!!

Anyway, if you fit the partitions so that the surface is too smooth for the scorpions to climb you should be fine with the one big lid. As an extra precaution you could put some vaseline around to tops of the compartments.

ah good call on the vaseline there, works for roach's so why not scorps.
Think that Ill go for three glass partitions with each compartment holding a different species
