Well I got a what is supposed to be a Florida Millipede? Is this true, or is it just a made up name? Also got it under a heat lap at like 75 F and humidity like 60%. Sorry I don't know much just randomly was given to me by a pet shop owner she's moving and is giving away her own pets away so she gave it to me because she knows I love bugs likw this.

There are a couple millipede species that have "Florida" in their common name (which is why taxonomic names are always better):

Florida Ivory (Chicobolus spinigerus)
Florida Ivory Ebony (color morph of Florida Ivory)
Florida Scarlet (Trigoniulus corallinus)

If you post a picture of your millipede we might be able to identify it or at least narrow it down a bit.

EDIT: You want to keep it on 3 to 4 inches of moist coco-fiber; they love to burrow. The top inch of substrate should be mixed with decaying hardwood and leaves which the millipede will eat. Oak works well, as does elm and maple. Moisture and ventilation are the most important aspects of a millipede enclosure. The surface of your substrate should stay damp for a week. If it drys out in a few days, reduce your ventilation. Temperature should be between 70F to 80F. Fruits and veggies can be offered once or twice a week as supplemental food. Remove uneaten portions after 2 days.
