scorp on Twitpic

Please determine what instar this one is...it's about an inch long excluding the tail...it's a H. lonigmanus btw...

and...

just this morning i've been checking out its enclosure and i smelled mold but i didn't see any on the substrate...so i decided to excavate the whole substrate and i found mold in the substrate itself...what sould i do? should i change my substrate?

Depends on the severity, you may wish to change the substrate.

However, to prevent further occurrence, it might be good to enable more ventilation to your enclosure.
That might be the root problem..

As for instar, body size of 1" excluding tail length could be 3 or 4.instar
To be accurate, could you throw in a object e.g. ruler, bottle cap beside it for comparison?
