A friend of mine currently staying in Africa sent me this picture explaining that this little scorpion made it half way up his wifes leg before being noticed and removed! Can anyone identify it please? Looking at the thick tail my firt thought was that this is possibly something you reeeeeally don't want in your pants!

Oh and the coin is a little smaller than a UK 10p which is roughly three quarters of an inch....

There is supposed to be only 1 spp. of Lychas in africa - L. burdoi, and it looks quite different in terms on coloration than the specimen in the pic.

They're in Capetown at the moment I think. I only have the one picture but i can try and clear it up a little netters with PhotoShop ......
