This spider from what i have seen and to my knowledge looks exactly like a tiny ( 2 / 2.5 cm) tarantula!!! is this a dwarf tarantula species? could i have found a tarantula? we have them here? i didnt imagine we did but anythings possible or is this some really common spider that is everywhere that looks this way just im ignorant? hehe sorry i dont have photos i will get some up tomorrow. Thanks guys Umar

| Dwarf tarantulas are cool, but I have no idea where the various species live.
Hmm, according to Wikipedia, they're restricted to the Americas. Tarantulas in general are supposed to live in Morocco, so it's possible you saw an immature specimen. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| I don't doubt that there's smaller species in the family Theraphosidae -- the article only talked about a different family of mygalamorphs. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| i dont think this is a immature one he looks exactly like the pictures i see of fully grown tarantulas except he is just over 2 cm in length and he does not resemble the "slings" ive seen. i will take photos this afternoon and post for you all to identify for me, either way dwarf T or immature T, its very very cool little guy |

| That does look a lot like yours -- I don't know how big the adults are, but most tarantulas start looking a lot like adults even when quite small. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |
